Contest prep coaches

Is there any current pro's that prep themselves? Anyone know the rates the top coaches charge?

I compete with a guy who hired George Farrah for his prep, he told me he paid $5,000. I think he placed like 6th out 10 guys in his class.

A new fad/craze that every retard hires for a 2.00 plastic trophy (everyone gets one).
The coaches themselves (mostly) are a 1-contest wanna-be, who just got done hiring their own and finishing up w/ them (graduating).  ::)

Hilarious...

If you’re thinking of getting on stage a good prep coach is essential. Don’t try and go it alone. There are many good ones out there. You don’t need a big name but you should look for someone who has trained others for the show you’re looking to do.

yes I do

in person - personal trainer so not an online coach -

he was a super heavyweight NPC open bber (old school guy)

I trained with him in the flesh 5 days a week (an hour) posed on saturday for 30 minutes - it was around $550 a month - which was a bargain

he did train 2 other people at the same time -

when i start my prep again I will train with him again -so 5 months will be around $2500-$3000 total - totally justified - plus I enjoy his company too. fun to be around.

good video - online coaches are scams

You should hire Charles glass so he can show you how to train in certain angles

That’s not too bad

I’ve trained off and on with one, Andrew Vu, before he became pretty well known in the community (just helped hunter labrada turn pro)

Very knowledgeable and pretty straight forward, guy doesn’t have the best genetics for bbing but knows cycles and how to prep haha

good stuff man

I am a firm believer of using an in real life personal trainer. accountability is huge. my sessions start at 6am and I almost never missed - hell I pay for it if I am there or not.  plus I am a very coachable person. I never want to let my coach down - (regardless of sport) yes they dont care as much you do... but that is how I am.

when I was trying my all with jr golf I would hate to let my coach know if I fucked up and didnt make the next event/didnt medal

if you a bber (complete or dont) and you have hit a sticking point - get a coach for 2-3 months. it is worth it! worst case you tried it and wasnt for you.

i wish more guys on this board would get a coach even for a few months.

I would pay $250 to train with charles glass 1 time. more of an inspiration event as well hear some cool stories. i am a big believer in ecosystem and mind over matter so yeah $250 with charles glass a few weeks from a show? totally would. golds gym venice - blast some bodypart - then hit some poses.

golf, yoga and sales (3 things i know alot about) are big mind over matter/right environment - bbing is more mindset that most even know it. arnold talked about it all the time. even in his book too

independence gym in Scottsdale is where my coach is - i do not train there unless I am prepping for a show. I like to keep it "fresh" i hate a stale vibe -  ;D

I don't need anyone for my training but as the show(s) gets closer I'll use someone (that I already have) to help dial in my diet especially in the last month and weeks before. You need someone besides yourself to pick out the flaws that you normally wouldn't see and correct them.

You should at least work with a coach you actually see in person at least once a week.
