Beto O’Rourke raised more than $6 million online in the first 24 hours after announcing his presidential campaign last week, according to his campaign, outpacing his rivals for the Democratic nomination and making an emphatic statement about his grass-roots financial strength.

Bet if you used a dipstick on her it would be drenched.
By her looks I would guess she doesn't get that much action very often.

Beto O'Rourke raises $6.1 million on first day, topping Sanders and all other rivals

WASHINGTON — Beto O'Rourke raised $6.1 million in his first 24 hours as a presidential candidate, according to his campaign, surpassing Bernie Sanders and every other 2020 Democrat who has disclosed their figures.

O'Rourke's campaign announced Monday that he had taken in $6,136,763 in online contributions in the day after declaring his candidacy Thursday morning.

" :)In just 24 hours, Americans across this country came together to prove that it is possible to run a true grassroots campaign for president — a campaign by all of us, for all of us, that answers not to the PACs, corporations, and special interests but to the people," O’Rourke, who has sworn off PAC donations of any kind, said in a statement.

That's a strong showing for the former Texas congressman who lost a Senate race last year to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, while setting a new fundraising record.

Sanders beat expectations and stunned observers by raising a then-record-setting $5.9 million in his first 24 hours as a candidate last month.

Among other Democratic candidates, Sen. Kamala Harris of California collected $1.5 million, which was seen as an impressive haul. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota raised $1 million in 48 hours, as did former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper. It took Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington 72 hours to raise more than $1 million, but that still surpassed expectations.

Here's what I find so fucked up about Bernie and Beto followers.......they have not even won the nomination of their party......Beto for 100% certain will not.....yet people have given over $12 million to these to pieces of shit who are both filthy rich from never working a day at a real job in their life and profess to help those who are struggling.

Wouldn't it be more effective to go to the source of the problem, and spread that money out to some homeless shelters?  Or how about pay off someone's medical bills?  I see stories on my local news every month about a family in need do to an accident, attack, or terrible illness.........I'm very confident that my assumption is that rings true to every local news channel in America is dead on.  Is contributing these record amounts in a weekend time frame to these two really about their belief either of them will solve America's issues, or is there some other motive? ???  Why did 13 ultra wealthy celebs that don't live in Texas turn Beto vs Cruise into the most expensive Senate race in U.S. history?  Hmmmmmm........

Most of Bernie's donors are poor people sending very small donations in the hope that he will win the election and give them lots of free stuff.  They are like lotto players spending a few dollars a day on a pipe dream when they could put that money to better use in their own life.

I appreciate your sound advice. Some of it may have been the ticket at that time. I'm physically very active. What finally did my erections in was the radical prostatectomy. Daily Cialis didn't work. Viagra didn't work. A Tri-mix injection sometimes works. I take L-arginine to boost my no2. My protocol is, at minimum, two complete blood work-ups a year.

My sexual preferences are irrelevant since I don't engage in sexual relations at this time. -Can't do squat about getting old....everyone does eventually.

Somehow you giving me shit about our political and philosophical differences doesn't equate with the rest of your post. Are you suggesting becoming politically conservative would give me a hard on?  ;D

The part of the post you're referring to was more about the behaving in a way that is true to yourself.  As a man it's hard for me to come out and say exactly what the advice is I'm trying to give to you, because I think it's gross.  I will say that you can have intimacy without having actual sex.........re-watch the Bill Clinton fiasco for clues.

I'm sorry to hear you went through that stuff.  Have you tried V or C again since you started doing the L-arginine?  Are you taking the regular form amino or AAKG?  What about trying citruline.....supposedly that works well for people that AAKG doesn't?   With your regular bloodwork have you talked to your dr. about the fact that you're using whatever form of arg it is you're on to see if it's even doing anything?

I'm not real familiar with viagra, but from what I've read and heard/watched on cialis if the nitric enzyme or lipase (whatever it is that regulates it is called) is not working or adequate then it will not do a damn thing.  There's another thing that will fuck it up to....check your pms.

The thought of taking a pill that gives you a surefire boner when a chick could change her mind at any point never appealed to me so viagra seems stupid to me.

That's an even sadder reflection of him that he knows that, and is taking all of that money when plenty of comps, celebs, pacs, super pacs, etc. will be there with lot's of dineros.

I believe what you are saying is true HN.  If I remember right Bernie's tweet about that $6M was that it came from around 225,000 people. That's roughly $27/person.   Likely someone's co-pay, gas bill, couple days of food, etc. that now has to struggle more.  Fucked up thinking by those people spurred on by an evil power hungry little old man.

They used to sell some kind of penis pump on infomercials for guys who couldn't get it up even with Viagra many of which had their prostate removed.  Have you heard of it?

They have an implant device that people used to get probably 20-30 years ago.  Not sure if it was made by Reebok or not :P

As for your viagra, and rape question....I'm willing to bet you're onto something.  I'm sure quite a few date rapes, or drunken sleep sex rapes were.

I think Larry Flint has something like that to pump up his cock.  As far as Viagra goes, if someone takes a pill that cost $25 or more dollars and then the woman decides she doesn't want sex he's going to be pretty pissed off. ;D

Which kinda speaks to both of our points.  I'm not going to rape anyone as no pussy is worth going to prison, and end up getting butt fucked over so that means I'd be angrily masturbating for up to four hours for the damn thing to go way.  Rage and a chaffed dick for $25?  No thanks.

And to your point about rapes....well, those people just thought the risk was worth it since they paid that $25 and had a woody that wouldn't go away.  Hope the dummies got caught.

Well stated, brother!

If memory serves, the term "pipe dream" is based upon the hallucinations that addicts would have in opium dens puffing away on their pipes.  More than fitting for followers of Sanders.

I dunno?

I'm pro-choice and feel they handle the issue better then the GOP.

I just watched a lengthy interview of Sen Corey Booker ( D-NJ) and was very impressed.

He'll have a tough time getting enough name recognition and fund raising might be low UNLESS he catches a wave.

Gillibrand: Give Social Security to illegal immigrants

Democratic presidential candidate Kirstin Gillibrand wants to expand Social Security to people living in the United States illegally.

"First, we need comprehensive immigration reform," the 2020 hopeful and New York senator said during a campaign stop in Davenport, Iowa. "If you are in this country now you must have the right to pay into Social Security, to pay your taxes, to pay into the local school system and to have a pathway to citizenship. That must happen."

Gillibrand's comments are striking given her past as an immigration hawk. In 2009, the New York senator voted to increase funding for ICE and once said she believed English should be the official language of the United States.

Under current U.S. law, only legal immigrants are entitled to Social Security benefits after paying into the program for the requisite amount of time.

According to a 2010 analysis by the Social Security Administration's Office of Retirement and Disability Policy, the program's trust fund is expected to be exhausted by 2037. Social Security either has or is expected to soon begin paying out more in benefits than it earns in revenues.

Gillibrand is currently near the bottom of the Democratic pack in most primary polls nationally.

During a televised town hall event with MSNBC's Chris Hayes on Monday, Gillibrand solidified her reversal on the issue of immigration, telling the audience that "there is no such thing as an illegal human" and said immigrant was not "a security issue."

"Because the truth is, everyone knows that diversity is a strength no matter where you go in this country, because they see it. So I would just remind them about why immigration — and our story as Americans — shows that our strongest and best moments are when we welcomed immigrants and our lowest and darkest moments are when we did not, and remind people how important immigration is," Gillibrand said.

COFFEE SHOP EMPLOYEES FORCED TO CLEAN UP AFTER COUNTER-HOPPING BETO O’ROURKE

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke has fascinated the public with his love of standing on restaurant counters, but little attention has been paid to the unsung heroes of O’Rourke’s campaign — the baristas and bartenders forced to wipe down the counters after the former congressman’s departure.

O’Rourke, who has kicked off his campaign by visiting various small businesses in Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan, has generated jokes and memes about his constant need to address crowds from atop an elevated surface. Politicos and verified Twitter users have opined on the cleanliness — or lack thereof — of O’Rourke’s dirty shoes trampling the same surface used to serve customers.  Can Beto not afford a step stool? It seems there's not a lunch counter in Iowa that's safe from his nasty shoes.

Employees at the coffee shops and bars visited by O’Rourke on the campaign trail did have to wipe down the counters after the candidate’s countertop speeches, according to four people who spoke to The Daily Caller.

Suann Wells, the owner of Beancounter Coffeehouse & Drinkery in Burlington, Iowa, somewhat proudly told the Caller that “he started that here,” referencing O’Rourke’s infamous counter-hopping.

Suann asserted that “of course” an employee cleaned the counter, adding that “in [O’Rourke’s] defense, it was very crowded.”

An unnamed employee who answered the phone at Central Park Coffee in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, similarly said “of course” when asked if the counters were cleaned off after O’Rourke’s visit on Friday but declined to comment further about the politician’s visit.

O’Rourke made another stop in Iowa to the Sing-A-Long Bar and Grill, where he ditched the coffee counter for a spot next to the register by the bar. Annette from Sing-A-Long told the Caller that they offered O’Rourke a step stool to ease his climb to the counter, which an employee later cleaned with sanitizer.

“We brought out a step stool to make sure he was safe,” she explained.

An unnamed employee at Cargo Coffee in Madison, Wisconsin, explained that normally employees at the shop would use “a sanitizer that is still safe for humans to ingest” on dirty countertops, but they took extra steps to ensure cleanliness after O’Rourke’s Sunday visit.

Photos only show O’Rourke standing on a chair at Cargo Coffee, but the employee said O’Rourke stood on the counter as well.

“Yes, we made sure the counter was clean,” she told the Caller. “This time, we used bleach because his feet were on it.”

Interviews with Suann and Annette revealed that O’Rourke does have at least one healthy habit: asking for permission.

“The crowd was so deep that no one could see him,” Suann said. “His staffer asked if he could [get up on the counter].”

Annette said, “He definitely asked for permission.”

Baristas from other establishments told The Daily Beast that they would prefer O’Rourke stay off their counters if he happens to visit, noting the potential sanitary and safety issues.

“I would understand standing on the counter because the crowd was so big, although organizing it would be better. But he’s kneeled down. It seems like a photo op that wasn’t necessary. His feet are right by the cups,” Josh Wilson, owner of Cohesive Coffee in Greenville, South Carolina, said.

Connor Finnegan, who manages a coffee shop in Brooklyn, New York, said he would not allow O’Rourke to stand on his counter.

“He can be heard and seen perfectly well standing on the ground,” Finnegan said.

I didn't have much exposure to Beto prior to this.   I saw someone ask him that if a baby survived an abortion, would he support a law that a doctor must ensure its health.   He said "I believe in a women's right to choose"......basically didn't answer.

And I think his whole "mold me into the candidate you want" schtick just wreaks of being a complete noodle.

Need to see more of Booker.  Made a complete ass of himself in the Kavanaugh hearings.  I think Harris is very unlikeable, and so many outside of California despise their politicians.

As much as they won't want to give the nod to the old white guy, he'd probably debate Trump the best, and they'd add a Harris or Booker to help with the identity politics they love so much.

Biden leads CNN poll, but Harris, Sanders on the rise

Former Vice President Joe Biden is leading a new CNN poll of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents that also shows increasing support for Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).

Biden, who has yet to enter the Democratic presidential race, is out in front with 28 percent of those polled. In second place is Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who is backed by 20 percent of voters.

But support for Harris in the poll has jumped to 12 percent, an 8-point increase since the most recent edition of the poll was released in December.

Following Harris is former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) at 11 percent. O'Rourke launched his presidential campaign last week.

No other candidate received double-digit support in the poll. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is in fifth with 6 percent of support, according to the poll.

Biden's support dropped from 30 percent to 28 percent, while Sanders's support rose from 14 percent to 20 percent.
