i spent all my money on bitcoins, so now im down to my last dollars... im sure things will pick up soon, but anyway, if you, like me, only had money for one pair of dumbbells what weight would you pick?

Dumbbell bench,incline bench,military press,hammers,dB rows,shrugs,overhead extension,dumbbell squats,2 arm rows,bench dips with it,dips with it.

Basically hit everything.

Basically hit everything.

I wouldn't wanna go straight into lifting 100s regularly. That's asking for disaster.

I'd go with 50lbs dumbbells and go super slow on negatives.

No just always skipped warm ups and I’m suffering now.So I do warm ups now.But 100s just make the most sense to me.

This is actually an interesting question.

If you go really heavy, you essentially eliminate all isolation movements. Conversely, if you go light  you decrease the effectiveness of the compound movements. So, I guess I would go for a middle of the road one like 30 and do high reps on compound movements.

Changing my mind. Don't just choose the 100s, but choose whichever dumbbell is the heaviest you can possibly lift up off the ground. For some guys this might be 90lbs, some guys it might be 150lbs or higher. But choose that one, and then start with one rep, and slowly over time you will be able to do more reps, until eventually you can do high reps with it.
