Anyone who takes the time to view the images from the 2006 World Pro Masters championships will be amazed that Rusty Jeffers was overlooked. How the judges gave the title to Bob 'Rhetoric' Chick is one of those mysterious things the IFBB judges often do. Makes no sense to any unbiased observer of bodybuilding. Jeffers has the shape, size and condition to win. He stands out far above the others.
The only problem for the judges was who to place next. Not so obvious that it was Chick. Surprisingly, Bob and Rusty were not compared according to the images I have seen on line. Disregard that there are so many images of Bob. That doesn't mean he deserved to win the title. Look for yourself and be amazed.
As far as I am concerned, to place Rusty 8th was a travesty similar to what happened to Bev Francis in 1983 when she placed 8th behind Rachel McLish and other women. When the IFBB doesn't want you to win you get placed 8th. Ditto for Sergio in his last Olympia.
Who were the judges? I would never let any of those judge a contest again. Shame on the IFBB. A pity for Bob because that sort of thing shouldn't happen. No matter, we can get Bob Chick to sort this out with the Pro Committee.

There is a reason Rusty turned pro in the Masters, not the USA, Nationals....he never beat me as an amateur, either...He's never placed in the pro's...and the answer is simple: conditioning. Even in the pice you're posting ad nauseum, he's smooth and making my point...and he was softer in the morning, when the judging takes place.
Rusty has great lines, poses amongst the best...but that will only get you so far. I would have had him in the top 5 myself...I wasn't judging.
Get over it, Basile....you're making a bigger fool of yourself (if that's possible)
