Vince Basilly if you are going to make an arguement like this your pictures should back up your arguement.
The ones you have posted clearly show Bob was better bigger than Rusty.
It's not even close.

fixed.

If Rusty did a suicide run and got real dry and lean he would look insane.

He did not win that show. Had he been shredded then maybe.

unfortunately there is no visual evidence that supports your statement. While there are tons in favor of the contrary.

Rusty cops so much flak for his moustache.  He just seems to suck it up though.

Rusty looks like the dude out of the Village people...

Brutal attempt from Vince to badger his arch enemy Bob.
Haha. It's like a retired super-villain making prank phone calls from his retirement center home to his old arch-nemesis in his.

To me, Bob has wider hips, poorer calves, turnip thighs and gaps in his arms compared to Rusty. Rusty was also harder. Look at the other images where close ups are shown. Photos don't lie. Bob was given a gift in NY.

Who promoted that contest? Don't tell me it was Steve W?

I like Bob even though I do give him a hard time every once in a while. But I do agree with some of what Vince is saying. Rusty has a better structure than Bob plain and simple, that wont change but Bob was in better shape that night. No way Rusty should have been 8th, but why bitch everyone knows the IFBB is totally corrupt and run by queers.

The sport is subjective....The judges can do as they please because of this.....bottom line, it is all meaningless anyway....take the drugs away and you have a bunch of morons with self-loathing-issues.

To say that Rusty placed lower than he should have been placed is one thing.  To say he should have gone from 8th place to 1st place is another thing entirely.

Don't be too quick to fall for this trick, Matt.  ;)

They did the same thing to Mentzer...an attempt to minimize the controversy.

By the way, have you seen the horrible physiques that placed ahead of Rusty at this show?! laughable!  ::)
just not good enough

Bodybuilding com broadcast the show. Does Bob have an association with Bodybuilding Com? Does Bob have an association with Steve who promoted the show? Something doesn't sit right with me. Rusty got screwed big time in this show. What was the explanation?

People can disagree about placings but how can anyone put Rusty 8th in that lineup? I am from Canada and used to respect Claude but he was far behind Rusty in this show. Bob was a big guy and posed well and so on but from what I have seen he was nowhere close to being as good as Rusty was.

It is new to me. Quite sad that Keith and others were on the money and Bob got a gift. This is my opinion and I am voicing it now.

if you'd have stood Bob and Rusty side by side you'd see Bob owning Rusty on width, size, condition and height, no contest, Bob wins everytime.

Anyone who takes the time to view the images from the 2006 World Pro Masters championships will be amazed that Rusty Jeffers was overlooked. How the judges gave the title to Bob 'Rhetoric' Chick is one of those mysterious things the IFBB judges often do. Makes no sense to any unbiased observer of bodybuilding. Jeffers has the shape, size and condition to win. He stands out far above the others.

The only problem for the judges was who to place next. Not so obvious that it was Chick. Surprisingly, Bob and Rusty were not compared according to the images I have seen on line. Disregard that there are so many images of Bob. That doesn't mean he deserved to win the title. Look for yourself and be amazed.

As far as I am concerned, to place Rusty 8th was a travesty similar to what happened to Bev Francis in 1983 when she placed 8th behind Rachel McLish and other women. When the IFBB doesn't want you to win you get placed 8th. Ditto for Sergio in his last Olympia.

Who were the judges? I would never let any of those judge a contest again. Shame on the IFBB. A pity for Bob because that sort of thing shouldn't happen. No matter, we can get Bob Chick to sort this out with the Pro Committee.

There is a reason Rusty turned pro in the Masters, not the USA, Nationals....he never beat me as an amateur, either...He's never placed in the pro's...and the answer is simple: conditioning. Even in the pice you're posting ad nauseum, he's smooth and making my point...and he was softer in the morning, when the judging takes place.

Rusty has great lines, poses amongst the best...but that will only get you so far. I would have had him in the top 5 myself...I wasn't judging.

Get over it, Basile....you're making a bigger fool of yourself (if that's possible)

Proof that conditioning IS judged too highly. Rusty looks incredible (except for the tache!!) - Should have been top 3. Can't judge anything more without direct comparison to you Bob, BUT it would have been CLOSE  ;)

No. Pavol came in too light. He got out-muscled this time.

I heard that Pavol was overlooked so I went and looked. Nope. Nowhere near his best and Rusty way too hard compared to him, Bob and the others.

I can understand Bob defending himself. However, he should let others praise him and not his own tongue.

The standing 'relaxed' of Rusty above clearly shows the superior physique of Rusty. The judges were obviously putting him down. There can be no other explanation. That 8th place is always suspect in the IFBB.
