Lucas never should've sold LUCASFILM.
He should've put people around him in charge while he supervised.
People like John Knoll, Dave Filoni, Rob Coleman, etc.
But it is clear that Lucas didn't want to finance any Star Wars films that he wasn't writing and directing.
That was a colossal mistake.
At least put up the cash for one or two films. If it didn't work out, then he could've sold it.
