Well....I said Ruiz would come too fight no matter what and he did...but like most didn’t see him winning
You know it’s always interesting too see everyone’s reaction after someone lose for the first time.

BEFORE Tyson lost too Douglas most people were on the Tyson bandwagon...as soon as he lost...the same experts immediately proclaimed Mike Tyson was “overrated” forgetting everything he’d done BEFORE then...that’s human nature...it’s fickle and predictable.

Joshua is a good fighter but he’s like ANYONE...you can get caught @ anytime and he got caught, Ruiz fought like he always does hard and fast and doesn’t take a backward step and takes a hell of a punch deserves his moment.

Before people jump off the bandwagon that’s been currently Joshua...let’s see how he responds too getting beaten...then we might actually see what he’s made of instead of assuming he’s “done” @ 29-30 years old.

Got Caught !!!!  ::)
Yes Got Caught 4 Times & walked away.

Let’s see how he handles the defeat & comes back
He’s Going to have to Face Wilder / Fury / Whyte Now if he’s to Prove Himself.

No he’s not written off - yet — Though he’s got a tough road back.

Heavyweight division is a joke. Wilder and Tyson Fury are the only fights I will even watch.

Ruiz is very fast despite his looks.

I`ll take him for the upset.

Tired of Joshua and Wilder fighting bums and ducking each other.

If Ruiz wins, maybe he`ll be good for boxing and make great fights happen.

He out boxed him with a clear disadvantage on paper. Had more grit. And had more determination. INCREDIBLE fight. Congrats Ruiz!

Ortiz looked old and haggard his last 2 fights.  It's nothing more than Stiverne 2.0.  Wilder will get him out in under 5 this time.  What you should be talking about is, Haymon and Finkle fucking Ortiz over for 7 mil at the end of his career, given he is clearly in his mid-40s.  He has a sick daughter and is being sold out for pennies to raise Wilder's profile.

Good prediction!
I had never watched Ruiz fight before, but I must say I am impressed!  Dude took a monster shot and got off the canvas and came back swinging like a guy!
I'm definitely a Ruiz fan after watching this!

AJ didn't seem to recover from the first knockdown. By the sixth round, it looked like he just wanted it to be over. He can come back but has a lot of work to do, he's far too stiff and clumsy right now.

Fury is the best HW right now.

Yeah, you can see he was out of it. It probably got stopped early, but it was only a matter of time. The bloom is off the rose, he's probably got one more big fight to prove himself before the interest is mostly gone.

His father didn't like the fight, thought it was a bad match up stylistically after he replaced Jarrell Miller, looks like Joshua thought being a late replacement that he thought he just had to turn up and win. He really didn't show any courage and panicked as soon as he was hurt, he simply did not know what to do, his legs were gone and he was gased.
Full credit to Ruiz.

A sport that once showcased Ali, Frazier, Norton, Shavers, Foreman, etc. has come to this. Unreal.

yup I’d add Homles, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Bowe, from the 80s-90s for edge of your seat fighters

I don’t know about the 1st part
Your Spot on in the 2nd part
The worrying bit for the Future is Showing No Courage & Looking Like He Wanted it Stopped
Others Will have Noted & Exploit That - He Can’t Build / Train Courage.

your correct you can not build or train courage, just my view anyone and everyone can have a bad night fighting wether your @ local/National Level or His level.

Joshua has shown that courage before when needed nearly being stopped bye Another very good fighter in dallion Whyte he came back and knocked him out, he showed it getting off the canvas with Klitschko coming back and knocking him out, He showed it when getting his nose broken against a decent poventkin came back and knocked him out.

Granted he was dominated bye Ruiz the uppercut hook combination he landed flush on Ruiz witch knocked him down would of probably kept most top heavyweights on the canvas after that he got hammered but I wouldn’t be so quick too write him off just yet his rematch against Ruiz will answer a lot more questions in regards too his courage and heart imo

Good video.  Joshua will win the rematch creating a third fight.  Lots of $$$$$$$ to be made by all.

Dillian gassed and got KO’ed
Kiltschko was 40 & hadn’t fought in 18mnths
He did fairly well against povetkin
So Where did his Courage go Saturday night ??
He Very Clearly didn’t want to Continue.

I’ve not written him off - only he’s now got to stop ducking people & Fight Fury / Wilder Etc.
Of Course he can comeback.

Jerry Quarry?
I don't like to compare, cause Ruiz doesn't thave Quarry's condition and consequently his fast footwork and workrate.
But they are both shorter heavyweights and counterpuncher ,with tremendous body attacks.

Ruiz didn't gas, so say what you want about him looks-wise but this was not a 2 round fight. I would say his biggest mistake would be trying to look like a model between now and the rematch. Just train to fight.

When you see guys like Ruiz and Fury you get just a hint that maybe(only maybe) there are some non-PED fighters. These guys that look like Kevin Randleman clones in there could use a few beatings to even up the odds, haha.

I'm familiar with the Quarry family and the two better boxers from that family Jerry & Mike.  Mike was a very good light-heavy. Their gym sparring sessions together were brutal, been told. A bit before my time to witness live, but had contact with their family members growing up and some old film clips.

Jerry would be an outstanding cruiser (200lb limit) weight today. Mike was a true light-heavy weight.  Jerry fought the best of his era..never backing down for anything.  Maybe too tough for his own good...taking a bit too much to give in return. Just didn't have the frame or height size (don't know for sure but been told around 5'10-5'11) with regards to today's heavy and super weights. If you judged his courage, it would be off the charts.

Jerry had to have health care 24/7 and was living somewhere around Hemet,Ca. His mental state was pretty bad, as was his physical state. Mike also have physical and mental troubles and died a few years  before Jerry.

Ruiz jr, a tough and smart boxer, taking his time and picking his spots. And with quick hands. After the third round, Joshua seemed to have lost his purpose of being there. If rematch, thinking Joshua in 12 or sooner. Ruiz jr said he's going to slim down and look like a boxer. Which might be a mistake on his part.  Lot of boxers will dothat, and never be the boxer they once were...just have to see.

To me Joshua is a wladimir Klitschko 2.0. A physical specimen but a clod, with a questionable chin, suspect heart and stamina. Joshua is a little more coordinated and athletic but Klitschko seemingly had more desire. It was disappointing how easily Joshua lost his confidence during the fight. Ruiz will be tough for anyone and may even win the rematch with AJ but I'd favor Wilder to win against Ruiz

We will see if Joshua is done in the rematch, first point of retirement is always hesitation, seen it with De L:a Hoya, seen it Tszyu, they just hesitate rather than throw, whether its a worry of another loss and losing their legacy or value or just plain getting knocked out, it seems to be the first sign that they are declining, If Joshua doesn't let his hands go, he's done.
