I have to disagree,I think bodybuilding is more of a sport than any so called sport.I think all athletes are extremes overpaid and bodybuilders underpaid.Reason being bodybuilders I believe have a lot more discipline and work harder and put their bodies under more stress.I think it’s a lot harder to look like a bodybuilder than try and hit a ball with a bat or throw a ball thru a hoop or run down a field with a ball.

I dunno about that. The actual building of the bodybuilding sport can be done mostly in solitude and at your own pace. No other personalities to get involved. Remember---WEEKLY your tested in sports. Not bodybuilding.

True but you are tested daily as a bodybuilder,foodhas to be perfect,drugs have to be perfect.Its amazing to see a bodybuilder in contest condition,it’s unreal how they looks.To see an athlete hit a ball etc... not very amazing.

The Weider Brothers did push the "sport' to a whole new level in the 90s with the Magazines, but failed to become a mainstream sport, mainly because the correlation with Anabolic Steroids is profound. Of course, there are steroids involved in Major TVs sports, but when you go onstage with a thong and pose your body to 5 Thousand People on a Olympia Stage, its obvious theres something going on with the Drug use/abuse.

I agree on some points. I also prefer individual sports such as Boxing, Skateboarding, Tennis and Muay Thai.
The thing with Professional Bodybuilding is that the culture that revolves around the sport is kind of shameful.
We rarely hear stories that a Professional Tennis Player or a Surfer sell anabolic steroids and or is linked to G4P, in order to support themselves.
Its hard to dissociate Professional Bodybuilding from crazy antics. But, its all good
