As far as I know, there is close to a 80% acceptance rate for homosexuality in Canada. Numbers are similar in the USA - again, as far as I know.

I talked to a gay male American friend of mine on Facebook this week. He said being gay is both a blessing and a curse.
You could say this about most things.

My top three perceived issues for gay males, in reverse order:

3. Increased risk of sexual infections. Always, always practice safe sex regardless if you are gay or straight.
2. Limited dating pool. -Guess you haven't been out long enough.
1. When two gay tops hookup or fall in love, how do they pick a position? Flip a coin while sweating?

Thanks for the updated information. Gallup can only estimate what percentage of the population is gay. There's no way to know the actual percentage by interviewing a sample group, some of who may lie about it. Many folks who've had same sex relations don't consider themselves gay and some probably aren't.

A more telling part of this poll is that a bigger percentage of the population are okay with people being gay, including accepting same sex marriages.
