Either way you are wrong.

Did Rhoden set out with the intention of raping her? No. Was she trying to cover up an affair? No. Was there some kinda scam on her and her husbands part going on? No

Both the accuser and accused made errors in judgements. Neither of them wanted things to turn out the way it did. Unfortunately for Rhoden his error in judgment had the biggest impact on both subjects and for that he will likely be paying a big price.
