« on: July 25, 2019, 11:31:38 AM »
Scenario1 Protein must always be high
Fat must be low 40 50g max
Carbs range doesnt matter
Results are me going from 320 down to.    270to278 pounds

Scenario2 hypothetical
Use scenario 1 diet 3 days a week
But on 4 days of the week i try to triple my workout volume with unlimited calories

Actually a pretty good diet Marty. The low fat-high carbohydrate mix has shown to lead to fat loss @1 pound a week in test subjects. As for protein- 1 to 1.5 g per kilo is more than enough. Beyond that your body just breaks it down anyways and pisses it out - stripping calcium with it.

Started keto on friday and been loving it.ive been realistically eating 7-800 grams of carbs a day on average and up to 1000 many days.Felt shirt but strong as fuck.So on keto and truly feel great except brutal headaches.

Eggs, chicken breasts, steak, almonds, tuna, haddock, some veggies and Atkins shakes.

Feeling so much better and dropped from 253 to 245 in 7 days. Strength hasn’t dropped yet either and cardio is better.

So my conclusion is carbs suck yet they make me strong as hell.

Protein requirements/recommendations are excessive for most people. Carbohydrates are not evil and you don't need to eat carbs to spike insulin and store excess energy. Caloric deficits are the only way to lose weight, eliminating carbs/fats is not necessary. Fat intake is required if you're natural, less so if you're providing testosterone exogenously. That's about it.

Agreed. Everybody is looking for a macro to blame for something, and people also love being part of a group or fad. I’ve personally gotten lean while eating plenty of carbs. Everybody is different and the best diet is one you can stick to, but it’s the calories, not rocket science. The general population under-eat protein and fiber and over-consume calories, so when they finally try a diet that is higher protein and less calories than their previous diet consisting of shit, they think their diet is magical.

I have cut out gluten, switched any wholegrain bread to brown rice.

My diet is mainly meat, fish, cheese, yogurt, vegetables, fruit and brown rice.

A 42+ lb. weight loss is nothing to sneeze at. Good job! What's you goal weight? What did you weigh when you were at your peak in your 20's?  Are you sticking to vegetable proteins or have you added meat and dairy back into your diet?

Scenario 2 - Any workout that burns calories and adds muscle is good. Resistance, volume and speed all play a role.

That's definitely not FAT fat, maybe unless you're a buck forty and Clarence Bass.

Just be sure to eat plenty of fiber.  I like keto but it left me constipated.
