I enjoyed it. It is very long and not for people who watch a few movies a year.

Excellent music and wardrobe and a good feel for the period with a slant on characters and story and the usual violent ending.

Also...Tarantino is into women's feet big time. There were so many hot blonde feet closeups, haha.

Is he supposed to be Joe Lewis?

Did Lewis ever say he took down Lee?

I actually walked out of this movie after an hour and a half. The main reason was because the girl I took with me kept complaining how boring it was. She obviously has a short attention span and I don't. I will admit the movie was very slow paced and most of the scenes were really drawn out. But I wanted to stick it out and stay until the end but I couldn't take listening to her complain any longer. So we both left. In hindsight, I should have told her to wait outside in the lobby where they had a full bar. But that would've guaranteed no pussy for that evening.

Pics?

Yes, he is Joe Lewis.

Don't know if Lewis ever said he took down Lee, definitely not in that interview.

Love this scene in Return of the Dragon. Bruce never meant it for the American audience. The dubbing was lame and it was kind of corny but Bruce Lee could pull it off. I liked how the girl gave the "oh brother" look and shook her head only to start creaming when Lee started kicking butt.

Hard to believe that a tiny Chinese man could become a legit leading man back in those days. Other than Jackie Chan there hasn't been anyone else.

Joe Lewis was highly respected and since I never came up against Bruce Lee, I'll have to take Joe's word Lee was formidable.

Perhaps not, but didn't he orchestrate the killing? Manson was totally whacked. It's interesting how some people are absolutely enthralled and dedicated to crazy maniacs, like Manson, Jim Jones, David Koresh and even Ted Bundy.

I dunno...The same way you "convince" people to vote Democrat?  By lying to them. A lot.

He had armed guards there that would shoot anyone who didn't drink it.  A better question: why didn't the guards shoot him first?

Was he the character who convinced people that they had to die before catching the next scheduled spaceship?

How can that many people all be dumb that much at the same time?

I mean you see it here on this board, but NOT ALL AT ONCE!

No, that was Marshall Applewhite's Heaven's Gate cult.  Jim Jones's People's Temple was a church he founded in Indiana and moved it to the Bay Area in California.  The group then relocated to Guyana in South America where they lived together until Congressman Leo Ryan from California visited because of rumors that the people were being held against their will.  Ryan was shot to death when leaving before he got on his private plane.  Jones then had the whole commune drink cyanide laced grape flavored Flavor Aid.  Those who didn't drink got shot although several escaped into the surrounding forest until help arrived.  Jones shot himself in the head.

I've always wondered if some of those who escaped were actually the guys with the guns who decided to hide after everyone else was dead.

I meant, is Brad Pitt supposed to be Lewis?

I haven't seen the movie, just the scene itself on YouTube.
