TRES, I saw it but only liked the final 20 minutes of it.

I won't spoil it but I was extremely happy about Pitt's character doing what he did do and the way it ended even though it was far from accurate.

And those three actors did a great job making me hate them just as much as I hated Manson when he his crew actually did kill Tate.

I did not know her but I did know some of her close friends and everyone assures me that she was one of the nicest ladies in the Hollywod movie biz exactly as she was portrayed in the movie.

Did you notice that there was an abundance of bare foot scenes?

I personally think that each scene was a bit too long ... thereby making the entire movie too damn long ... and it wasn't till the very end that I really got into it. (From the flat tire scene through the end.)

But I'm glad that the real death scene was not a part of the sctreen-play.

And it was evident to me that the weapon used to kill the nazis would re-appear later in the movie.

No wonder Bruce Lee's daughter is so angry about this film's portrayal of her father.

That fight scene with Bruce Lee, is a single, uninterrupted take until he crashes into the car.

Only a complete and utter moron would be with Roman Polanski... and allow herself to be impregnated by his Devil Spawn.

I actually walked out of this movie after an hour and a half. The main reason was because the girl I took with me kept complaining how boring it was. She obviously has a short attention span and I don't. I will admit the movie was very slow paced and most of the scenes were really drawn out. But I wanted to stick it out and stay until the end but I couldn't take listening to her complain any longer. So we both left. In hindsight, I should have told her to wait outside in the lobby where they had a full bar. But that would've guaranteed no pussy for that evening.

My daughter and son-in-law saw the movie. They commented that it was hard to follow at times. Much like other Quentin Tarantino films.

It was very slow placed...A lot of emphasis on visual authenticity and product placement, which I can appreciate. But an hour and half in...no kills, no blood, no violence---very uncharacteristic of a Tarantino movie. I will watch it again by myself without anyone chirping in my ear next time.

I did not like how they portrayed Bruce Lee in the movie. His personality was nothing like it was depicted and I think it gave his memory a disservice.

also before one sees they need to know the general background

who was Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski, Charles Manson, hippie communes

1960s Hollywood, what is spaghetti western etc

when they had a billboard for the TV show "Combat" that was classic 1960s shit right there! I loved that - it is the little things

My kids also mentioned the lack of violence for a Tarantino film. I doubt it, but maybe it's becoming politically incorrect to promote violence, what with all the mass shootings lately.

Maybe someone in their 20's has little appreciation for Tarantino's films because they have no experience with them.

He's portraying a fictional character in a fictional world so yes, Bruce Lee met his match in this universe and Cliff Booth gave him a good challenge. I grew up with the myth of Bruce Lee and idolized him at one point like every other red blooded man has, but at this point I thought it was refreshing to see someone take down the myth a little bit.
