Thanks guys. I'm not sure about shaving. I'm kind of attached to my man rug. Maybe if I get truly shredded I'll shave it one time just to see how it looks. I also think my girlfriend probably wouldn't like it if I shaved.

You'd be surprised what some hair clippers can accomplish in terms of grooming. Try different guards starting with the one that leaves most and work your way down to a look where your hair doesn't make you look like a Woolly Mammoth. This way there is no scratchy stubble or ingrown hairs.
