It's weird that he finished that far behind Franco in 81 when Franco had bitch tits and no legs.

Not weird considering Franco was best buddies with Arnold.

It's too bad they couldn't have fixed it better in surgery.  Twenty years later bodybuilders got torn muscles repaired all the time but in the early 80's it was pretty much game over.  A negative result of training too heavy.

I think it still havn't been much development in that type of surgery tbh. Very few surgeons can do it. Still to this day the have a hard time getting the tendon to fix to the muscle if it's torn of the bone. I believe Layne Norton had a succesful surgery on a tear of the muscle. But you don't see many.

I wish somebody would have told him that a body should be 60-70% upperbody not the other way around

According to Who ?  Is that written in stone - Where does it say That Arms & Deltoids must be over developed & Disproportionately Large to all other Muscle Groups ?

The sport is BODYBUILDING then shouldn’t all Muscles be developed to the Maximum?
In today’s Era Deltoids & Arms are Overdeveloped & that’s accepted as ok.

In Arnold’s era it was Chest & Arms Being overdeveloped -
Isn’t it all down to what one prefers a physique to look like.

I only hope Tom was earning a good living and saving that money, I heard he lives in Scottsdale AZ involved in selling cars...

Who retired healthy enough to make a living out of bodybuilding?  Arnold, Zane, Draper, Big Louie...

No.

That would for example mean maximizing the size of glutes and obliques.

Maybe you think that's the way bodybuilding should be, but I would disagree.

I merely posed some questions to you
Only One of which you managed to reply to.

Yes, people with overdeveloped lower bodies have no v-shape.

Not just 'selling cars' but living out his 2nd dream.  I've recommended this before, but Tom's official website is a great read...

"The Athlete ~ The Actor ~ The Businessman ~ The Diplomat

For the past year [2007], Tom has invested his time in education regarding the new and used car business - his 2nd love and dream is about to come true.  The sacrifices he has made, leaving bodybuilding for about a year, has paid off."

The new and used car business is his dream?  That's a nice positive spin on having a shitty job.
