It's an interesting concept given the scrutiny cops are under these days. I'm enjoying the series but it's definitely a slow build... Some good scenes, cool soundtrack... I'll stick with it for now because the movie is one of my favorites!

Concur with the cool soundtrack.

I particularly like (at least the first minute or so) this little gem called "The Brick" by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross.

This does look like woke shit.

But the graphic novel is classic. Everyone should read.

As for movie, theatrical version stunk. Too short.

Director's Cut is very good. Very few complaints.

And I certainly wouldn't call myself a Zach Snyder fan.

Ultimate Cut has Tales of the Black Freighter built in.

If you watch Director's Cut, you have to watch Tales of the Black Freighter separately. It is worth it.

If Hollywood does the same thing that keeps making money, they lack creativity. If they try variations and try to appeal to different audiences/ broaden story scope, then they're pushing an agenda.
