Got back on track,set up my new scans due the the times that elasped........had a combo Cat.Pet scan this morning but 2 vdays ago they informed me wheter the cance was agressive and has spead they still might not be able to perform the biopsy due to the Corona virus.

This started in October...........I`m deader that a piece of fried chicken!!

So much for the hippocratic oath.......they know i`m sick but can or wont treat me...................the y know i`m sick they dont know who has the virus but they wont help me so thats according to them...................t his may change but I doubt it...............very pissed and depressed.

Wow! That is shitty news. Why does COVID-19 have anything to do with you getting CT or PT scans. Is it because medical technicians who do these scans are too busy working as doctor's, doctor's assistants and nurses to do their regular job? Which is to be a technician. If you went to the ER because you were unable to breathe due to the an obstruction caused by a tumor, do they say "too bad, so sad" if you don't have COVID-19 we can't treat you? This is just fucked!

About a week ago, I had a blood draw and lab work done at my doctor's office. It was to check my hematocrit. If I would have had symptoms related to COVID-19, they  wouldn't have seen me at all. The sign on the clinic door reads, do not enter if you have a headache, cough, runny nose or other Coronavirus symptoms.

Long time lurker and not a lot of time to post here and respond, but I'm a real life oncologist, so thought I'd add a quick message.

I work in California, and people are still aggressively treating serious cancers out here.

Your case is hard to follow. Initially you said mass in lung then you mention something in the larynx/trachea. 3 possibilities come to mind:

1. larynx cancer with metastasis to lung.

2. Primary lung cancer with incidental PET activity in the laryngeal area (i.e. not a real finding in the larynx).

3. two separate cancers (larynx and lung), which is possible in smokers

Unfortunately biopsy is really critical in all scenarios. One thing you can try is to go to a local ER and complain you are coughing up blood and having lots of chest pain. They may admit you and expedite a biopsy. (Of course, they may also think you have Covid, so choose your words carefully!).

Any advice for Wes that includes his doing everything possible to become the squeakiest wheel around until his doctors take notice and do whatever is necessary to treat him, is good advice. Heck, I would even suggest running into the ER naked with his hair on fire if I thought it would help. I don't recommend he eat wheat grass, drink vinegar and run around the block 100 times while waiting patiently for his doctor to call him...passivity isn't going to work.
