Reading your great news from the last few days is really uplifting. Needless to say, I couldn't be happier for you to be doing so well. Keep up the good spirits.

If you ever doubt your ability to survive and be a winner, read this thread. You have come a thousand miles emotionally all the way from being devastated and probably at your all time lowest point in life to being excited about your future. You've conquered many of your demons, such as getting your anxiety under control and even allowing yourself to literally cry, makes you a stronger man.

There's one small challenge left and it will be a cakewalk by comparison to all that's gone on. Quitting smoking for  heavy smokers can be really difficult. I know, I was a three pack a day smoker up until the moment I quit. Even though this was 45 years ago, I remember that not lighting up gets easier and easier. Before you know it, any thoughts of smoking a cigarette will disappear. Everyone is different, but for me it took two weeks for the side affects to completely disappear. There was no nicotine gum or patches in those days so quitting was completely cold turkey. -No regrets and zero desire for those cancer sticks.

Guys I got some great fantastic news today.............been having radiation for my lung Cancer.................. ..........only have to do 5 extra high radiation sessions....today after only second scan doc tells me that by my last last scan on this  Friday my cancer will be in remission............... .............happiest day of my life.....for months I thought I`d end up like a piece of fried chicken but he says if I dont get hit by ligtning I have many years left.

Thanks guys for caring about my welfare and just being a great fucking people ...........if there`s a heaven,I`ll see you guys there my brothers.

Could be long term complications but he says I`m responding so well that I literally have a new lease on life.

Now to train as much as will allow and to get back on my diet.

I literally cried in the car for 15 minutes thanking God.........not ashamed to admit it................best dsay of my entire life.

Remember, just because I don't recall seeing or hearing anything when I was dead does not mean there is nothing of worth waiting for those who do that which is just and good instead of just for themselves.

Use the time given you to make memories, not only for those that will remember you when you finally are gone, but also because no man dies alone who has a lifetime of memories to accompany him in to eternity. 

And when that time does come, you can have my place at the table. I would rather give it to you than just give it up.  It is time.

How any different diets have to been pushing on us. So now it's the iodine diet. Is this what you are on? And, if so, how long? If not, why not?

I hope I dont embarrass Tapeworm with this but I`ve known him from this board forever...............th ough he lives in Australia so I never met him cuz I never visited Australia.

Well he PMed me a message offering me $500.00 dollars to help pay for any medical bills I incurred................ ...I literally broke down and  cried thinking that a man I had never met had the kindness to reach out to me in this manner.

Of course I refused the cash but to think that he would do that made me break into tears.

I haven`t EVER cried since I was a sloppy drunk 19 years ago.............but been doing it a lot lately but todays tears were literal tears of joy !

The only other time I cried was when I missed the NABBA Nationals in the best shape of my life at 57 because of some fat fucking slob bud dispatcher.............. ..........almost went to jail for assault on that one.
