But I’m sure they’ll say record cold proves their case too:

June 2019 - hottest June on record
July 2019 - hottest month on record
August 2019 - second-hottest August on record
September 2019 - hottest September on record
October 2019 - hottest October on record

This is a climate crisis. A Green New Deal is the only sufficient response.

With actual story lines out there like the one below you can bet a certain percentage of the population WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING.

Determining climate crisis is not that simple. You need averages over a long time period to know whether the planet is getting hotter or colder. Record highs, record lows and an increased number of catastrophic storms also signal a climate shift. The world's climate is not static, never has been.

Whether it effects the climate or not, humankind is polluting the environment with toxins.

Climate change is real.

Whether it's caused by man is the question.

IMO, gross human overpopulation will continue to produce negative outcomes. Economically, reducing the population stinks. But, in so many other ways, it makes sense.

81% of the planet is uninhabited by humans.

"Sustainability" lobbying and overpopulation myths are just part of Agenda 21. See Georgia Guidestones.

So what? Only 71% of the planet is habitable. On a worldwide basis 49.5% of habitable land is needed for agriculture. Livestock takes up nearly 80% of global agricultural land. If everyone were to adopt the average diet of the United States, we would need to convert all of our habitable land to agriculture, and we’d still be 38 percent short.

Lots of "ifs".

If a meteor lands on your head you'll be dead.

If you get hit by a truck you'll be dead.

If you choke on a chicken bone you'll be dead.

If...if...if...

I am with you on this. I don’t know/think that we are contributing as much to the change as some would have you believe, but I do know that humans are wasteful creatures. What damage does it do to pick up after oneself and use a little less fossil fuels?

Come on, we all know this is about getting the government to take over the energy industry. That’s always the case with leftists. It’s all about greater government control: healthcare, education, energy, tech...

The environmental movement really took off after the old Soviet Union collapsed. Lots of Commies looking for direction found it in the “Save the world from Capitalism” movement.

Of course there’s climate change. Why would we expect the climate to stay constant until eternity? The only reason they started calling it climate change is because the global warming models went down the toilet. Now they can claim victory no matter what happens.

No it's not but I'm sure you totally believe that

WTF point were you trying to make in your first post?

Just sum it up in a sentence or two in your own words

Do you need everything spelled out for you?

Bernie Sanders posted on his Twitter page about record heat as evidence of the planet getting hotter. Lo and behold we are now getting record cold.

So what?  Typical self-important left-wing nut.

Human populations concentrated into a mere 19% of the entire planet isn't going to do crap to this mighty planet.  Even if we start shooting nukes at each other and melting down nuclear power plants, killing and destroying everything living on the surface, the planet would eventually recover and start all over.  It may take centuries, but it would happen.

On the other hand, we know with 100% certainty that the sun will eventually die, destroying all living things on this planet with 0% chance of ever recovering.  There's nothing humans can do about that.

Yes , and 90% of people in Canada live  100 miles from their southern border with the USA.

I guess most people have no desire to live in harsh climates or desserted ghost towns.

There is a BIG difference between a "disereable location" an empty dessert or frozen wasteland.

You left out water.  And what does that have to do with anything I said?

I agree that no matter what humans do the planet will survive. The question is, will humans survive?

Ok, despite having a lot of uninhabited land mass, most of it isn't where people want to live.

So?

Not if, but when the sun begins to die, or even before that if we get hit by a large enough space object, no human will survive.  There is nothing humans can do about that.

Thus......?

Come on, you're almost there

Just explain exactly what you think this means.

We have some parts of the country that are experiencing record cold......thus.....?

what conclusion are you attempting to draw from this?
