Foreign policy requires far too much bandwidth that most GOP voters can muster (especially those found on a bodybuilding gossip board)..

Important questions such as

1) What happens in Iraq with no US presence?
2) Who stops the resurgence of ISIS?
3) Will our (former) international partners help us when we are inevitably attacked by Iran?
4) How did galvanizing support for the Iran government help make us safer?
5) What exactly was the imminent threat?
6) Why is the US intelligence to believed now, after they were written off for the Iraq mistake, and more recently for all being part of a deep state?
7) How many MAGA people will sign up out of "patriotism"?

Essentially the US has a small window of opportunity to corner the world's critical resources , destroy potentially troublesome states and shore up its military presence in multiple strategic locations.

A couple points post inquiry that have hurt the Democrats:

....witnesses. After the Democrats refused all of the Republicans' request during the inquiry.

Pure horseshit....they couldn't prove QpQ and Bribery, then overplayed their hand.

I think this move was what it was - an answer of force with force.
