How accurate is a 4% death rate? I think I have answered this before. But I will explain again. The "confirmed cases" are largely people who were already so sick that they were already in hospital and then tested. So yes of those who are already sick enough to be hospitalized, and then take those of that segment who are actually tested and confirmed positive, you will see a far far higher "death rate" than the death rate of actual total infected vs death rate. The actual total infected is in the hundreds of millions globally at this point and most of the planet will have been exposed over the next 3 months, so the real death rate is far far lower - likely 1/10000 dying (and of those of us dying here in New York the vast majority are elderly, in poor health, or smokers) as was the same in other countries).

When scientist look at this virus, what they see is random components thrown together in random order. It look like someone has drop this piece of shit from his ass, steps on it and then it has been on the rain few days. I don’t really have a strong opinion about the man-made argument, but I do believe that the one of the reasons  for the dire predictions is to funnel money to the healthcare establishment:

Correct. Most of Europe and the US to follow shortly are not that far off herd immunity. The Asians on the other hand will need to stay relatively closed off and manage the spread of the virus. Advantage the West. Hopefully they make the most of it.

Also the reason for the high death rates in Italy and Spain is because initially the Doctors and nurses were seeing covid19 patients without any protective equipment/procedures in place. This meant the majority of staff became infected and spread the infection on to all the elderly and sick already in hospitals and to all those who came to see them.
