"Close personal friend " 🙄

He's the one who told me to fuck off first.

And coach dwarf is so dumb he forgot that case was settled out of court coach dwarf also claims Cheick Kongo would have made 1 million dollars if he defeated Ryan Bader although Congo’s reported salary was nowhere near that figure

Sucks, but yup, people die every day.
If headline read "John Tidler dies in copter crash", no one would bat an eye, except the Tidler family and close friends. (Tidler himself doesn't know he's dead).
The guy had lots of fans, so they are upset over it. I get it.

I was like that when I was young, until my buddy said "Do you think Kurt Cobain would be upset if he read "Powerlift66 dies at age 27".

No he would not, changed my thinking on these things back then in the early 80's. But yes, Kobe could have raped.
Buying a person off doesn't prove guilt or innocence, so people can have their own opinions there.
Many might (and can if they want) think he's a PoS phony celeb who made millions playing a game.

Some will say he's a hero/legend. Each his own I guess.  I'm a "Larry Bird Guy" so, I just say "RIP" to Kobe, and wish his family members the best.

On the contrary, I would be sad for anybody dying in a helicopter crash.  If you survive the impact, you're looking at burning to death in a tiny little cabin.  That is a nasty way to die.

Come on mate, don't kick a man when he is down - he is mourning his close personal friend who used to come into the same building as him.

30-60 seconds of utter terror. What a tragedy.

many are saying its from a crash in the middle east.Id hold off believing that for now.Kobe crashed in fog on a grassy hill, that was sunny and in to a canyon. From the sounds of it was extremely foggy and possibly the pilot was too low and didnt see the hill til too late.

"We know the pilot contacted the control tower at Burbank Airport around 9:30 AM PT, and the tower was aware the pilot had been circling for about 15 minutes. The pilot eventually headed north along the 118 freeway before turning to the west, and started following above the 101 freeway around Woodland Hills, CA.
At around 9:40 AM they encounter more weather -- as in seriously heavy fog -- and the chopper turned south. This was critical, because they turned toward a mountainous area. The pilot suddenly and rapidly climbed from about 1200 feet up to 2000 feet.
However, moments later -- around 9:45 AM -- they flew into a mountain at 1700 feet. Flight tracker data shows they were flying at about 161 knots."

Interesting I thought the exact same years ago. I know LA traffic is awful but all the other Laker greats dealt with it.

Ari Shaffir may have just committed career suicide. WTF man.

I have to say, I did not like Kobe as a young NBA player but he showed a lot of growth as a person in his later years and became quite likeable sort of like Mike Tyson has.

Seems like he was able to turn off the competitiveness where Jordan never was. Jordan was the greatest but would be hard to hang with him for sure...

In any case RIP. He and his family deserved more time than that.

I think he performs in LA a lot too. He should watch out for more than just his career after that.  Lot of LA gangsters love Kobe.

Ari's fine. He's been called out for fat shaming, disability shaming, and a few other things pretty hard, and he's survived. He's also in New York for a few months now, so it will blow over. If he was in LA, I'd be worried for him physically.
