Likely more died today worldwide from Covid 19 than flu.Over 1000 deaths. And it looks like just the start.I just hope the "its just the flu bro" crowd here didn't drastically put more people in danger when me and Gib were warning people of what was to come.I said 4 weeks ago to stock up, now there are people in the UK who cant get a food delivery because everything is booked for 4 weeks and the supermarkets are empty of everything essential.
Yawn ::)

I must be dense because it sure looks like that's what you wrote. Maybe it's not what you meant. What did you mean?
If you clicked on the link, you would see that I copied what the CDC wrote. Many of these deaths being attributed to the end of the world coronavirus, could very well be the regular old influenza that plagues the world every year with over 200,000 deaths and upwards of 600,000 on a bad year, yet we've never had to shut down a city, county, state, country......until now. Wonder why?

This was most likely a business that was already teetering on the financial edge if the photo is supposed to mean they are going out of business because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chances are they were about to go out of business before the shit hit the fan.

These numbers are absolutely going to get worse before they get better regardless of what governments and the people do now.

most will get the disease anyway , the strong and healthy will live and the sick and old will die  , all these measures will only create more suffering and destroy more lives

I don't think that's what I said.

Every country in the world is affected as is every person on earth. If this virus destroys the economy, and it might, everyone participated. There is likely no way anything could be done to change that, unless you possibly have a solution you'd like to share.

What about these scaled up?

CLOSED CASES

100,460 Cases which had an outcome:
89,920 (90%) Recovered / Discharged
10,540 (10%) Deaths

It was over 1000 dead alone yesterday, about the same worldwide as flu, and this is just the beginning.

I'm starting to think this Coronavirus hysteria is a way to bring in socialism to the U.S.  After every adult starts getting checks for not working it's going to be easy to implement a Universal Basic Income later.

soooooooooo.....

Does everyone just expect the virus to magically disappear after everything reopens one day?

Doesn't anyone realize that if the virus is THAT deadly, it will always continue to spread once everything is "back to normal" no matter how long we are all "social distancing"?

In two weeks they will just extend it another two weeks again and again.  Bankruptcies are going to soar and businesses are going to be told they can't turn off services for those who can't pay.  I heard in California they are banning evictions for people who can't pay the landlord for the next 90 days.  They will drag this out as long as they can and then next winter we start all over again with another outbreak just like the flu.

per Bloomberg News:

Italy

99% of deaths are elderly with at least one comorbidity.

50% of those have 3 or more.

Median age of Italy is 50 yrs old
