As I said they need to accurately record every covid related death right now in case they need to deal with this seasonally. If it is just a one off then in time they can look at how the deaths are categorized more forensically. What they can't do is half ass it. Just look at the problems half assing has caused right now.

It's dangerous to the economy, infrastructure and social order.Most people won't die, providing it doesn't mutate or have long effects we don't yet know about.But it doesn't take much to tank the economy, doesn't take many deaths to overload hospitals from the equilibrium of predictable deaths that have been calculated before this in to day to day hospital running, and certainly doesn't take much to cause social unrest in the grand scheme of things.Letting it run wild with no lockdowns would have been catastrophic.

I think the Novel coronavirus is after the folks in the affluent first world countries. Which is just the opposite of how many recent pandemics have played out, like Ebola.

It just spread faster in affluent countries because those people are able to travel more.

Also a lot of deaths will go unnoticed in poorer countries. It will just get passed off as dying because of old age.

It appears they have effectively found the drugs to tackle CHI NAH Virus they need to be promoted & got out to all that need them - they cost about $5 to treat each person - Far cheaper & more effective than a Countries on lockdown/ people out of Work / Businesses Closing Etc.
