Obviously one cannot expect him to look anywhere near his biggest when he was in contest shape, but he looks like he's half the man he used to be.

This is the man who got arrested because the police thought he was too big!!  ;D

lol..this is what happens when you stop force feeding and using huge amounts of drugs, it just shows you what natural is... Mike Ohern take note, if you were clean this is what you would look like..

It's almost 7am here in Thunder Bay, so I'll just make a short post [for me  ;D], and come back to this thread later:

Toney - with and E - Freeman is a class act.  Absolute all around great bodybuilder and great person, who is kind to everyone.

It's funny - that a guy who is a massive 6'2" bodybuilder that many people would be afraid of if they saw him in a dark alley, is a book that literally cannot be judged by its cover AT ALL.

I have no reason to believe that Toney had any health scare - he likely just wanted to put his bodybuilding career behind him, and move on to greener pastures, as it were.

Toney is 53 now, looks much younger, but still looks to be well over 200-lb in that photo.  So the reality is, he is STILL bigger than 99% of men, and is only small in comparison to past versions of himself.

I think Toney knows full well that he can just run some gas and be back at 275-lb in contest condition, if he REALLY had any reason to do that.  But he has absolutely nothing to prove.

He looks great in that photo - he's STILL large, he looks healthy [and I'm not saying "healthy" to mean he is small, as I would often get a chuckle seeing people use the term healthy to mean small over the years on the boards], and for whatever it's worth - he's still far above average in terms of musculature, at 53 years old.  On top of looking younger than he is, and looking pretty happy in that photo.

Although the feminine pose in that recent photo...I can't explain ;D [no homo].

Don't kid yourself. He is NOT going to be happy walking around looking like an average joe. Previously, men cowered in fear and burned with envy when he came through. Women lined up to get their hands on that onyx muscle, to feel that 10-inch plus piece of dark meat fill all 3 holes. All the preferential treatment a tall muscle-god receives. I give it 90 more days tops until he's full blast again.  That lifestyle is just too tantalizing.

steroids have nothing to do with that, on gear or off...

I'm a fan of steroid bodybuilding. I'm in awe of what drugs, workouts and genetics can accomplish. Having said that I never forget what I'm looking at. So many stars look very ordinary and dare I say below ordinary without the drugs. I know users like to rationalize their own use and are very defensive of other users.

Imagine if drugs weren't here what the Olympia would have looked like?  170lbs Zane at 5'9". A very muscular Sergio but he would weigh around 200lbs. like he did when he competed internationally in Olympic lifting. Larry Scott would have weighed at his best 175-180 muscular pounds.  Would we have different champs entirely?

One thing that is a pet peeve of mine are guys that use social media and posting boards to show people what they look like when they are on passing off training advice. They know when off the juice no one would be seeking out their advice. I know more than a couple of guys that kept a crumpled up picture in their wallet prior to the wide spread use of cell phones to show people what they use to look like. One guy was chubby with a pot stomach showing me a picture when he was on the juice on stage.  It was just sad.  Here he was right in front of me looking like shit.

I wish the sport wasn't based on drugs. Without drugs this sport would be just about gone from public knowledge.  Still people are clueless. Every time I see an actor go from a nothing to a hero anyone in the game knows he's juicing. Meanwhile TMZ and other entertainment rags will talk about how they trained like a lunatic to play the super hero role but will never let anyone know about the  syringes and vials their trainers shoot them up with.

I wish drugs were never associated with working out and bodybuilding. I want a level playing field. You want to say you're more ripped and muscular? Compare Apples to Apples with two drug free guys in the gym, and not one guy using and one guy clean. Don't pop pills and go to your syringe stash then say look a me, ain't I great? Nope, I know what you look like without the assist.
