In Rourkes case Boxing really messed up his face, so he HAD to get plastic surgery.

Age and his Hollywood-lifestyle was just an added bonus to it.

I mean, you can ruin your face just by aging and living a certain lifestyle (like Van Damme with all the drugs), but boxing is what really changed Mickeys face

Somehow i feel sorry for those Hollywood-people who when they were young looked so much better than normal people, but ruined their looks from their lifestyle to such high degree that they now look worse than normal people at the same age!

Rourke and Van Damme should've been content with their looks back then instead of ruining it

Rourke seems mentally ill and his claims regarding his surgical adventures highly dubious.
He used to have a normal face until the mid 90ies and then age set in and he sought a way out.
