Bigmc was a powerhouse in the security industry. No way he lived in a council house

its nothing to be ashamed of and it doesn't follow that its the only house he might have lived in.

OK fair dinkum. But you'll never come close to living in Hawaii. With the average home prices at over $800,000, 250K isn't even going to get you a one room condo.

$2.8 million wouldn’t even touch the house in the photo.

We both know that.

What would you do? Bear in mind he’s 14 years your junior and still in shape/strong looking.

That would put me at 69 years old. Damn, I shouldn't have spent so much time out in the sun.

In answer to your question, pull guard, of course. I'm a Gray belt in Jew Jitsu.

One thing you would find is that Im nothing like I appear on here

I met Illuminati a few times during my show preps, Im sure he doesn't think Im an asshole
I met up with bigmc and Galeniko in London, me and bigmc had a real humdinger on here he wanted to kick my ass at one point, we had a good laugh about our online feud.

I offer the olive branch , no more winding up, and every post I make in response to anything you write isnt ever a personal attack, sometimes I just like to play devils advocate, I ofeten argue against my own point of view to see how much my belief in something is

As far as I'm concerned the hatchet is buried.

Big hugs  (no homo)

Then it ends here.

This is a very classy move on your part. I have much respect for you because you took this route. It takes a lot of courage to post something like this on Getbig where one upping is the name of the game. Kudos to you.

joswift and I had a serious conflict with our world views but there were no crimes or sins committed. Groink stole from Walter and showed no remorse and even attacked Walter for it. Made Walter seem like a chump for trusting him and made up some lame story about being involved in a serious accident that even caused alarm and concern from his own family. Talk about not giving a crap about other people just to garner attention. Any resolution has to come from Groink. He's the bad guy here. He has to admit fault, apologize, and make restitution, meaning paying Walter back. But that means he has to act like a man, he has to have a sense of honor, something that self-absorbed, egomaniac, narcissist never had in his entire life.

Huge houses are a massive waste. All great at first then all the unused space you dont use that needs cleaning, the amount of attention the garden needs.Complete waste of money and time.Something off a Joe Rogan podcast stuck with me, it was him and some other rich guy, they were talking about Rogans new 5 million place and how it was.Joe said it had just become normal, he took it for granted and he returned to the baseline of how he felt in his old place. The other rich guy agreed, they both agreed the one thing that never got old was the views from their houses. Most people live near great views of some kind.

When you are filthy rich money is not really a factor. What's the use of money if you don't spend it? Wasted money is money not doing anything for you. It may have cost him 5 million but so what, when you still have millions of play money. And there is no waste of time because being rich you can hire people to maintain, clean, and take care of the landscape. Nobody at that level is dusting vacuuming, and mowing their lawn -- unless it's for a camera op.

I agree, my point he is no happier, most people are not happier beyond 70-100k a year, this has been proven time and time again in studies. Most people dont have stacks of cash, they spend years and years trying to earn enough to move in to a large place, when it wont increase their happiness.Ive lived in both large and small, if anything I was happier in smaller.

A quote from Larry David in a "Curb your Enthusiasm", when someone walked in his house and looked out his window at the sea view, they said "Wow, thats amazing, it must be great waking up to that"

Larry said "Yes, it lasts about a week , then its just the sea"

Its like spending $4k on a TV, its great for a week then its just a TV, you should keep your old TV at the side of it to watch occasionally to remind you just how good your new one is or you dont appreciate it.

Yup, im sure others even get jaded by views.I have a theory on happiness, the more items in your field of view and immediate vicinity, less happy you are.Its like being in front of a simple field with just a few trees and a couple of hills, very little for the mind to process.Same with a small apartment, all the shit you need but nothing more to flood your mind. Its why city life is so overwhelming for most.Mo money, Mo problems is a thing for a reason.

Well, one of the advantages to being rich is that you have way more options available. If you feel you were happier making 70 grand a year as opposed to 10 million a year you can always just give that extra money away. Maybe to a charity to make other people's live better. If you were happier in a small place then you can always downsize.
Very easy to go from rich to poor of from big to small. Not so easy the other way around.

I can't speak for Joe Rogan and I don't know how anybody else can speak for him. He seems to live a very full and fulfilling life. A life that would not be possible without his personal wealth.

It’s the memories/times in the house that make happy not the house itself, happiest for me was when my 2 kids were still very young in our first house, our daughter had a bed and toys in corner of our room as we didn’t have enough space, my dad was alive and lived a minutes walk away with my mam and would visit often, even today would give anything to live in those few precious years.

My favorite show of all time. Are you a fan as well? Do you ever run into Richard Hatton in Manchester? After all, there's only one Ricky Hatton!

it's kind of a shame as those early days with the first kids you're really too busy to enjoy those beautiful times.

I'm hoping to have another in the next couple of years, as I'm more secure (corona willing) with a slower paced lifestyle, so will be able to savour it.
