You misunderstood my post - or I poorly worded it. Either way - what I have a problem with is the idea that banks would “censor” free speech or that you’d be put on a “no fly” list simply for speech that others find offensive.
I vehemently oppose the censoring of speech even if it’s something that I completely disagree with. I should have used the word censorship as opposed to discrimination, as I re-read I can see how it came across differently than I intended.
It was me who kinda misunderstood, let's see if I now get it lol. Those institutions you kinda need shouldn't discriminate like that IMO. And there is the argument that companies like X, while private, are like the town square, and shouldn't discriminate either. Musk of course profiles himself like the absolutist free speech advocate but right wingers complain that they get banned even before they break the rules. Musk had to apologise himself lol, and then had to go to the wailing wall in Israel. Leftists started protesting even before Musk bought the company, lots of other companies stopped advertising.
I probably still didn't get your exact point lol, but these are some additional thoughts...
