Oregon's Governor Brown announced yesterday that the phasing in of the reopening would continue as planned for now. She advised folks make good choices in helping to stem the spread of COVID-19, by continuing with social distancing and wearing a face covering (mask) when in public.

I'd like to believe folks are intelligent enough to utilize every tool they can to help control the spread of COVID-19. It is encouraging that some of the Republican leadership, including Mitch McConnell are also jumping on board and advocating for wearing masks and adhering to social distancing guidelines.

You've explained how you believe health experts lied to the public. Although, a prediction or projection is just that, it is not a lie if it turns out to be wrong.

I hope you aren't suggesting that the health experts motive is to "burn down civilized society". That's just plain nuts. As for holding on to the reigns of power and influence....that's not a motive. A motive is the reason someone holds on to something....what do these folks have to gain?

The United States reported 52,789 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, the largest single-day total since the start of the pandemic. President Trump speculated in a Fox Business interview that the virus was “going to sort of just disappear” at some point.

Experts say that is unlikely, unless an overwhelming majority of people are infected and develop immunity, which could lead to millions of deaths, or through the successful development and deployment of a vaccine. There is a good chance the coronavirus will never go away, some experts have warned.

Across the country, states are casting aside plans for a gradual return to normalcy, with California, Michigan and New York City the latest to rethink some aspects of reopening.

More than 800,000 new coronavirus cases were detected in the United States in June, many of them in Sun Belt states that were quick to reopen. At least 125,602 deaths have been reported since the start of the pandemic.

As I have said before, Newsom is blaming family gatherings, parties - when he should enforce the rules and stop all forms of gathering, including protesting. It is no coincidence that the spikes in countries are going up 10 days after the protests.... really? 20,000 people together, and what did you think would happen?

After protesting, they move back to their families, their friends, and so on....

Sir your logic has failed you.

There is a 2 to 3 week lag between an infection and then possibly dying. So the 560 deaths today correspond to the infections maybe 3 weeks ago. At that times cases were decreasing so logically deaths would be decreasing.
