It’s not “someone, somewhere.” It is the gay and bi curious guys on this board, it is the bodybuilding fans who go to shows, buy his videos, photographs, and wait in line to take photos with him. Let me repeat something I said in the sex forum: what % of BB fans have wanted to touch, knead, caress, grope or be manhandled by the huge muscles they look at from a distance? I would say 99.9999%! Anyone who pays to go to a BB show or buys those videos & magazines and claims they have no interest in touching or being touched by the muscle is in serious denial.

Although I agree with a lot of the stuff you say, I totally disagree with this. While I enjoy looking at a BB'ers, I can say with certainty that looking at a man and touching them is completely different. When I see a physique like Arnold (my all time favorite), I admire it and imagine myself looking like that, in no way do I think about touching him. Sorry bro, but your wrong here. Maybe because you’re gay, you project that on others. No offense, that's cool, it's just that when I see a picture of a really hot female I couldn’t imagine anyone (even other women) who wouldn’t want to touch such a thing of beauty. And for another, we’re not just talking about some random person, who sees a bodybuilder approves of the physique and moves on. We’re talking about the population of people who devote their time, resources, and recreation (sometimes for years) to muscle life: going to shows, subscribing to magazines, buying overpriced DVDs, posing at expos with one bodybuilder after another. If you have one or two pix of your ideal physique for inspiration, I’ll buy that. But that’s not the population I’m talking about.

Perhaps you are in that .0001%?

Ok, I can see that being more believable now that you put it that way, still don't know about the 99% thing but I get your point. I know you have a real insider look to the gay scene and BB, so I trust many of the things you say since you don't seem to have an agenda. Since I'm not at near that level (of fan dedication), I really can't comment, so I'll just take what you say and accept that it's higher than most of us would ever think.
Now the real question is - Does 240 fall into the 99.9999% category?

I don't think it has anything to do with sexuality. I am attracted to women, but I won't just look at pictures of women's physiques in a nonsexual way, nor do I care about fitness contests, which I should if there is a parallel between contests and sexual preference.

Women's fitness contests are okay - figure is ridiculously boring. Figure "competitions" are f'n gay! Somehow, despite only featuring women in bikinis . . .

I think you do project your desires onto others just a bit. And sometimes it seems that you believe that your slice of the gay community is representative of the entire gay community. Your gay world appears to be very different than mine.

while I do know many gay guys who regularly attend contests, none of them buy up all the DVDs. Nor are guys who are attracted to muscle all attracted to the same type of muscle. Sure, there are some guys who are really into the mass monsters. But many more find that unappealing. The Musclemania Superbody DVDs are probably more popular in the gay community than the Olympia DVDs.

Nor is everything always about sex. Sometimes its enough just to observe beauty.
