using tension bands for lateral raises is way harder than using dumbells, you have to resist the downward and cant use momentum in the upward

During the shutdown when I was forced to use bands, I find that they felt superior to dumbells and the tension applies much smoother. Because the strength curve on the DB laterals is the opposite of the muscle's movement you are pretty much just throwing the weights up. The bands are still the opposite to the strength curve of the lateral raise where the resistance increases as you perform the movement but at least you do get some resistance at the bottom of the movement whereas with the DB you get none. Also, I pick a resistance where I can only complete half the movement on my own and do force reps to complete the movement and compensate for the muscle not able to generate the force necessary to complete the reps on my own. Even with the gym open now I've stopped doing any DB front, side, rear raises and now just stick with cable and bands.

Take a 100 pound barbell and do decline presses to the throat, wide grip, for 5 sets of 12 reps, one minutes rest between sets, then get back to me once you get out of the hospital.

None of this bouncing 600 pounds off of your lower ribcage/diaphram area, and egotistic nitweit can do that and they always do...............use slow controlled reps with TUT..................... ............you will thank me after you are done cursing me.
