You said this:
So what do you want to say that the insurgents were weaponized or they weren't?
Were they attacking people and trying to take their guns?
The insurgents were evil but the rioters of Kenosha (and Minneapolis, Seattle, etc...) were good citizens exercising their rights?
The insurgents burned down public and private buildings and looted just like the rioters did?
You really believe the insurgents are traitors to the country but the rioters werent?
And no I don't think a skateboard is the same type of weapon as a gun but if i'm going after a gunman with a skateboard it's because i'm trying to harm him.
Who in your mind were the real heroes that night in Kenosha ?
I have no knowledge that any of three people who were shot were involved in looting, or property damage, etc..
Do you have proof of that? ...and of course even if they were that doesn't give Rittenhouse the authority to shoot them and I don't recall his lawyers trying to make that argument in court.
You can beat a person to death with your bare hands but that doesn't make them "armed" nor does it diminish the fact that you killed someone.
All I've done is point out the total hypocrisy on this board regarding what is considered a "weapon" or being "armed" which is well documented on this board. If a flag pole or hockey stick or a skateboard is being used as a weapon it's all the same. To be fair a skateboard is not a great choice of weapon which is probably why no one bothered to bring one to the Capitol.
All that matters in this case is whether jury thinks the defendant was justified in using deadly force
I don't think he was but that's my opinion and it doesn't matter
All that matters is what the jury decides
I'm fine with whatever they decide since they are the "jury" and they spent the time hearing all the evidence and all the arguments
Will everyone else here accept the results...regardless of the outcome?
