This is a thread about a guy who just had shoulder surgery from lifting heavy. Are you saying everyone lifting heavy that gets hurt simply because they aren't training correctly? Heavy lifting creates injuries.
I did not take your here post to be within the context of the OP and his injury, moreso a general, all encompassing statement.
This is why you don't lift heavy weights into old age.
I didn't say everyone who gets hurt gets hurt because of improper training. Obviously injuries can happen, and the heavier you go, the likelihood increases.
However, it's also greatly reduced if you follow proper protocols, technique, and keep your body flexible. I'd say the benefits outweigh the risks. Some people want to continue to perform at high levels the older they get, and they can if they are smart about it.
