Actually we as humans were designed to eat fats and proteins. With very little carbs. We do not need them in any capacity. Thats why the fda has not issued a percentage or amount ( everything else they do vitamins minerals fats etc but not carbs)   .We ( many years ago) walked everywhere worked hard etc. We would only eat fruits or whatever if we had nothing else to eat (walking long didtances  etc) we were not designed to live on fruits and vegs and SUGARS. We killed an animal we ate the fat and protein. There is a reason they go together. every notice carbs do not come naturally with fats or proteins( there is some in dairy but not enough to overtake the good)?  Dont beleive the experts and the stupid food pyrimade ( that was actually designed to help a congressmans friend sell more grains  look it up) So yes just meat eggs and some dairy if you want. give it a try the first few days are usually hard on people but once you get thru it its a cake walk. lol
Everyone who followed the FDA's food pyramid is either fat or dead.

Agreed but I just cannot develop a taste for non-dairy protein or fats without carbs.

Keto deflates me, makes me weaker and seems I know the most people who get their leanest on carb cycling

Just cut the carbs, don't eliminate them.  Or you can just cut calories and eat what you want.

You don't find at 1500 calories or less your metabolism slows and thus fat loss?

Everyone I've seen prep keeps lowering calories to the point their bodies go into starvation mode and halt fat loss completely

This is somewhat of a myth. Too long to go into here but there's plenty of research.

agreed, first couple of weeks had the shits...
Everyone telling me I needed fibre in my diet, nope, certainly not.

I do it also to help me stop the oxalates that cause my kidney stones, high protein acidity can be regulated by adding a teaspoon of potassium citrate added to two litres of water and drunk throughout the day.

Mike O'hearn comes across as a bit narcissistic and psychopathic at times, but he knows his stuff, he's 51 and still in great shape, legit 21'' arms and very strong and lean and he is natty

No i haven't to be honest. But keep in mind i also typically run a moderate dose of Test when i'm dieting. I used to use T3 but i haven't touched it in 4 years.

I've never hit a "wall" when dieting before, i seem to respond really well to low calories, as long as it doesn't make me feel lethargic. Once i get down to 1500 or less calories, i can feel a little lazy sometimes, but the fat is still coming off.

Also, i'm not naturally a fat person, no body in my family is heavy. The fat i gain is typically due to me intentionally eating a surplus of calories in order to gain muscle. I've never been over a 32-33" waist even when i'm eating a lot.

It's true, most olympic sprinters are overweight. There bodies are too afraid to release the fat.

So much is made of what fuel a cardio activity is using when bodybuilders discuss cardio. Fast walking is using mainly fat. Sprints mainly sugar. I think in the end what matters is the total caloric cost during the activity and after caloric cost of the activity.  Again I think for a bodybuilder fast walking is probably ideal to save energy for lifting. For an athlete walking is a joke. You need to be doing high intensity like 6 x 800 meters or even 100 meter repeats. At minimum running hard for distance to supplement so many sports where having a big gas tank is important like the fighting sports.

This part has nothing to do with the topic but maybe it does. A friend of mine was out of shape and around 50. He started running a mile at a super slow pace of a 12 minute mile. In a space of six months he is up to 6 slow miles 4 to 6 days a week. The result is drastic. He does no other exercise. His face is tight and he is lean and tight now.  A real runner would laugh at his pace but I'm sure the majority of bodybuilders couldn't keep up with him.

Long slow distance was a program put out by Ernst Van Aaken in the 1960's.  It works but is boring as hell.
