Why should I? Even if there is what are the chances that the life would be advanced enough to traverse the universe? Why would they want to come here and then hide once they get here?
They (whoever they are, or maybe it's their AI controlled tech that is here) in general seem to ignore humanity. They go about their business, and avoid us most of the time.
It seems they are here for genetics, human and animal, and perhaps commodities that they can't get or easily find in a huge area around earth.
Genetics as in human abductions. Taking human sperm, female ovarian eggs without permission. Thousands of people all around the planet over many decades have reported such medical procedures.
Animal genetics: the cattle mutilations (taking blood and removing certain bovine / deer bodyparts with extreme precision) have been going on for centuries.
Commodities: maybe certain metals, salt and fresh water in abundance on earth?
Why they are hiding: humans are nosy and greedy by nature. Imagine a remote place on earth with still some dinosaurs living there. Perfectly fine, untill humans find out. Massive numbers of people will go to that remote spot for financial gain (influencers), or for the thrill, or scientific study.
What if UAPs would give away their base locations? God knows how people, boats, planes, drones, media and military / CIA / police / Coast Guard would show up. Would become a total and dangerous mess.
We don't know how many years they are ahead of us. Maybe 500 years, perhaps 30,000 years. Or even 7 million years, which would be almost unimaginable to humans.
Imagine if we do not destroy ourselves, how far humanity will evolve in the next 1,000 years. Will we travel through space and try to discover as much as we can if that somehow benefits us? Yes we will. And so will non human civilisations I guess.
Especially if traveling enormous distances is much easier for them, or their technology. Or maybe they have found a shortcut or solution for the time - distance problem
