Assumptions are not facts.
Also, the first quote was taken directly from the article you posted. Are you claiming the article printed a typo? How do you know this? It does not appear to be a typo. In fact, the very next paragraph attempts to refute it, validating the claim's accuracy.
I refuse to dismiss the correlation until I see the proper data.
Sorry, i thought that was my quote and that was a the typo.
I understand the POV of refusing to dismiss the correlation until you see the proper data. That's why I said I appreciate wanting to see the actual data and compare it to other states.
But in the absence of that data at our disposal, i will take article from Newsweek until shown otherwise.
Consolidating infected/previously-infected/possibly still contagious elderly people into mass confinement ....
Why do you believe they put infected or still contagious elderly people into mass confinement?
remains the only common denominator in the disproportionate PA deaths occurring in nursing homes during the time frame in question.
Are you now claiming there are disproportionate deaths in PA?
Do you have the data we are talking about?
Montague, there seems to be alot of assumptions in that statement.
In that
1. You assume they put infected people in Nursing homes.
2. You assume there are disproportionate deaths in PA.
Didn't you just say "assumptions are not facts" and that you refuse to dismiss the correlation until you see the proper data?
Based on the article, they didn't put infected people in nursing homes and there wasn't a disproportionate increase in deaths in PA. Until other info/data is brought to light, the charge falls flat.
I am thinking that there should many people out there looking to prove that Dr. Devine's policies did just that and caused thousands of deaths. Maybe in a few days we will see it.
