Stay cool Primemuscle
I am. I looked at the reading on the remote thermometer at 3:00 pm and it read 119° F. The transmitter is under the eves located where the wall doesn't get sun on it. I immediately checked the weather temperature on my phone and supposedly was 111° F. It is supposed to be 113° F tomorrow and could soar to 115° F. This is crazy hot. So hot that it has broken the record for the all time high temperature in Oregon which was 107° F in 1965 and 1981.
It is even too hot for my dog who loves hot weather....hot being more like 85° F, when she begs to go outside so she can lay on the hot patio. She stood by the back door asking to go out today. Finally I opened the door, she went out, immediately stopped, flipped a U turn and ran back in all within about 30 seconds. fortunately she had not gone far enough to burn her little paws on the concrete pavers.
I checked and a lot of the plants outdoors aren't looking too good. The hydrangeas look specially stressed. I've given them plenty of water early this morning and then again by hand this afternoon, but this heat is just too much for them. Hope is starts to cool down soon or I lose some of them.
I may have to fly down to Huntington beach and camp out at Coach's ocean front place.
