Why did Lacy Rich hate Arnold so much?

The spelling is off, but the Tom he mentions is Tom Minichiello, who owned Mid City Gym. Tom would publish this somewhat hard to find book in the late 90's. In one edition, he tells a version of the story very close to Lacy's, although more fictionalized. The book is now oop, some say it was just bad writing. Others say Minichiello was told it would be better for him to just forget the whole thing. Tom also owned a gay bath house in NYC for a while, so he was no stranger to certain things -

there was a bus ride to Fire Island on sundays from Mid city gym  (NYC)  Once on the bus, all of a sudden they were all gay for the day on the way to make some coins.

Davis was a great US Olympic athlete.  I remember him saying the drugs were there but he didn't want to risk it and I thihnik this is borne aout by his lifting feats. if on drugs hi s later totals wouldve been much higher that his best recorded effotts.

The Golds gym rumors were said tobe true as Joe Gold was a homosexual.  they used to call hm old mo as in old homo.  there was a gay movie arnold was supposedly in and i cant recall the name right now but plenty of folks back then said that wastrue.  arnold is for arnold now matter what it took or takes.  he will burn in hades when  he assumes room termp.

I remember reading the exact same thing mate and agree he was a great athlete seems never mentioned much these days but maybe is more so in Olympic lifting sites

Thank you. Bill Pearl was the first bodybuilder I heard of taking anabolic steroids in 1958 , almost 10 years before Arnold came to this country. Dr John Zeigler was injecting York weightlifters with testosterone in the mid 1950s. This guy mixes half-truth and bullshit.

Some booed in 1980 but in the video you can clearly see a lot cheering as well.
