As I have said, Phil was my friend and I trained with him a good bit when he moved to Boyton Beach after merging his peptide company with another buddy. We lost touch a bit when he met a new love/gf and moved to Tampa and Atlanta. Caught up again a few times when he moved back to FL. Very humble and down to Earth in person. Had a short temper on the internet though. A lot of what he preached was basic common sense in the training field. Except people just were not ready to understand that it (training) was relatively simple and that the other two aspects (diet and recovery) were much more difficult. So instead of putting more energy into those areas, they instead fooled themselves into believing they needed to train even harder or longer or more frequently. Or use more drugs. Which eventually only held them back even more.
As his later training progressed more into kettle bells, bands, and the bosu ball, he still kept a decent physique on just legit TRT alone.
Diet wise, he was pretty smart, but again it was just common sense. (Plus he had to make money selling supps too).
Very saddening to watch his health slowly deteriorate over time. All the problems with his knees, quads, kidneys, eyes, etc... I can say that if 99% of the people on this board met him in person, he would not be close to being the person they thought he was.
