I'm shredded at 195lbs at 5 8" - and not a bodybuilder. I train for performance now. Ask Grape. No drugs or bullshit - I just grind and blast metal.
Early AM i have the entire gym to myself.
Ive been training since Im 13 and at 46 - still cranking it out.

Brian, people do the routines they enjoy, not what others think are better for them.
He doesn't have the goals you have, therefore a different routine.
I enjoy Powerlifting type training (5x5), 4-days, based on 1 - Bench, 2 - Squat, 3-DL, 4 - OHP.
(With the accessories needed for those lifts on those days).
Not a BB routine at all, but its enjoyable to me.
Everyones different bud, no need to pick apart others routines.
Especially some of us who have been doing this as long as youve been alive...
