I did try squatting 225 lbs today with my belt and knee wraps on.

I didn’t lift it correctly. The weight made me lean forward too far and my knees went together in the front. Honestly it was heavy and when I started to lean forward I panicked a little.

I need to take a step back and regroup. I wish Pellius was here to help.

Should be simple - Lower the weight and build back up.

If you need a program to increase, Wendler 5-3-1 is easy and free.

Next time send a video. Grape is right though, lower the weight a little and regroup, get your mind in it and try it again.

I’m not going to lie, when I started leaning forward I thought I was going to fold over. I definitely need to get the bar a little lower on my upper back.

I didn’t feel like the weight was squishing me. It seemed like once I started down I had a brief moment of doubt that I would be coming back up and that was enough to make me lose my form.

It was fun though, but oh my I have sore abs.

Get a pair of these shoes (or something similar)

You can also combine the heel wedge with a smith machine like Hunter Labrada is doing here

Those are really nice weightlifting shoes. I wore my flat sole CrossFit shoes today and we used 10 lb plates under our heels. That wasn’t my idea, the people who were also squatting said that is what they always do.

But I really like those shoes. I wish they had green ones to match my outfits better.

You need to deadlift. Your core is weak and your back loosened up. Deadlifts for life!!

Jane I`ll send you a five sets of five reps routine that will improve your form and increase poundages consistantly......up to a point of course.

Ttrut me you will make great progress....I`ll send it in the AM.

4 sets incline db flyes 45,50,55,60
4 sets incline db press 70,80,90,100
4 sets incline hammer

Shoulders and calves

8 sets hammer shoulder press
Superset
8 sets of rotary calve machine

Forearms

Wrist roller 15lbs- 15 times up and down.

Abs

Crunches 100 ss ab wheel 20 ss 60 second plank.

Walked 10 miles.
