Did my weird SAT routine again today.

I do legs on MON and Bench on WED, but I've been doing this extra day of each and enjoy it.

Squat

lots of warmups, empty bar, 135 on bar, etc. Probably spent 15 mins just doing that.
Knee's and lower-back are pretty creaky.

235 x 8
325 x 5
325 x 5
415 x 3

Bench

225 x 8
275 x 5
295 x 3
315 x 2

Smith-OHP (seated BNP's)

4 sets x 205

chest supported row

4 sets x 8 (4-plates)

Cardio - 20 mins very-slow jog (4.0)

seated d-bell curls

4 x 8 (50's)


That's a great workout- reminds me of what the old school powerlifters like Doug Young did.

54:00 - 1:06:30  shows off xxxs knee sleeves, talks about his nutrition cocoon, reminds viewers of all the progress he's made since the beginning of the segment, warms up on squats

1:08:00 - 1:08:30 Has 405 on bar, gets underneath it.  Camera goes all shaky as the sounds of plates crashing to ground, bones breaking, and high pitched shriek is heard

1:08:45 - 1:08:52  "911 what's your emergency" is heard as camera fades out

Very funny! :D

But the bit in bold is where I actually legit burst out laughing!!!  ;D  Thank you for the belly laugh!

Lucky for me today is back and bicep day. Planning some smith machine rows maybe some wide and narrow grip pulldowns and some ez bar wall curls and maybe some dumbell preachers nothing too complicated. Just need to motivate to get moving but staking my workout claim now Ha just waiting for the snow to melt it was 78 degrees here last week 28 today

Thanks If I had know the freak blizzard was coming I would have put it in the garage. Also I meant like a hammer strength row machine not a smith

Actual workout was
3 sets smith hammer pull 15 reps
3 sets two arm each on their own cable though lat pulldown first time trying this I liked it allowed a free range of motion 12-15 reps
2 sets cable low rows 12-15
3 sets of 8 ez bicep curls
2 sets of 8 preachers
3 sets cable tricep pressdowns sets of 30-50
2 sets 30-50  reps shrugs

Hammer strength bench press 12 sets going from 1 plate a side to 4 plates a side. Reps 50-5. Controlled reps.
Superset with 6 sets leg raises 20 each. 6 sets crunch machine reps 50-15.

Shoulders

8 sets hammer strength press going from 1 plate to 3 and a half plates. Reps 50-5.

Walked 10 miles.

Ok what do you think a turkish getup is doing? What is your goal with these? The clean pulls also seem like a good way to actually pull something. Do you really think a GHR is that superior to a seated calf curl I mean laying down on your face in the gym isn't the best look. I guess the reverse lunge is better for knee and good for overall leg development? Do you really need lunges and GHR if you are doing deep full range squats? Why not just do more squats? And the rowing at the end? Just preexhausting your back before a future back day? Seems like some borderline weird crossfittish stuff lots of kettlebells

I have found three weeks on and one week off from lifting seems to work the best. The first week back I'm a little rusty, the second I feel in the groove and the third I usually over-compensate. Rinse and repeat.

Legs always respond to high (usually 12-15) reps. They are loaded with fibers that operate in that range.


 Abs are just diet. You can have a belly that protrudes even at low body fat- that's why vacuum training (sucking the gut in and holding it) makes such a dramatic difference.
