I did one a few years ago - 160 at the start - 21 of of left at the end.   Its more mental than physical.

Just Squats today was 2nd day working from home and went after dinner so felt a little heavy may have contributed to some lower back tension and pump. I usually retain a little more fluid and get a little back pump on heavy higher calorie days. I like to do squats in the am for this reason.

Quads,Hamstrings/Low Back,Calves:
Leg Press - 5 sets
1 plate per side -  50 reps
2 plates per side - 40 reps
3 plates per side - 30 reps
4 plates per side - 20 reps
5 plates per side - 10 reps

Leg Extensions - 5 sets - 12 reps with constant weight of 110 pounds
Unilateral Leg Press - 2 sets - 15 reps per leg alternating legs until finished - 130 pounds
Seated Leg Curls 3 sets - 12-15 with 110 pounds
Dumbell RDL 3 sets - 15 with the 45 pounders
Hyperextensions 3 sets of 15 with bodyweight slow and controlled with a squeeze at the top
Leg Press Calf Raise - 6 sets - to failure with 3 and 4 plates per side +  half reps to failure and static stretching

MY LEGS ARE FUCKING FRIED !!!!

I tend to agree here. Training the way 'breakdoctor' mentioned can get you into better shape, yes.
But running is just another animal.

Back, legs, cardio, shins, just getting used to the pounding on the pavement or trails takes conditioning.
I suck bad at it outside.
Do "OK" on a treadmill, but that is also another (easier) animal... (Than running outside).

Lifting, running, treadmills, all will do nothing for your cardio compared to Ragdolling.  10-20 mins of Ragdolling will get you in the best shape of your life.

If you did that workout you`d either die or be crippled for a week.

I`ve done thousands upon thoudsands of reps on squats over the decades......high reps will build quads.....I learned this cuz I always squatted heavy and never grew.

How many reps did you get in the workout.....total reps on squats that were paralell or below?

My guess would be just a few and your lower back did most of the work.....I`ve seen your "form" if you want to call it that.


My workout is far superior as far as TUT and intensity goes....a few reps on squats and the set is done......my higher rep sets were agonizing.


Try that workout if you have the balls and oh yeah,not everyone responds well to squats.....don`t believe the old adage that it is the king of exercises......it will be for some but not for others......they won`t help you just like they never did much for me except make me a better squatter.


There`s levels to this shit.


You`re nowhere near my level and I`ll prove this in Pittsburgh.



225 vs. 165.....you don`t look much bigger than I do......just shittier.
