It's not just the squat motion, it's how you train too, you should never ''squeeze'' the quad muscles very tight, rather let the weight do the pumping, like Arnold did, or Krizo, just let the muscle grow. Once you start ''squeezing'' the muscle really tight the leg muscles will become extremely dense and won't grow anymore

DB Flyes - 3 X 25
Two-Arm DB Rows - 3 X 20,20,15
Seated DB Laterals - 3 X 20,20,15
Seated Alternate DB Curls - 3 X 15,12,10

Can`t do any pressing movements or Triceps until my elbow heals up....it`s as tender as a bitch from throwing heavy ass pieces of firewood onto a pile before I stacked it.  :'( ....trained with very little rest.

Second time training since I got sick.....I added a set and went a tad bit heavier......feeling great !

Personally I would be ashamed to post a video of me struggling with 315lbs for 1 rep, I would not be showing off my abs, I would be deleting the video and leaving the gym saying fuck this I,m done. I was squatting 180kg for reps at 17 natural.

This pathetic squat attempt literally reiterates what everyone has been saying.

all drugs.. you missed a shot of test and 315 nearly crippled you. God forbid, you miss a month or two of your anabolic cocktail you would be 150 if lucky.

Anyone who wants to critique the weight I am using can show an X-ray of their knees first. I would assume they also have 25 year old titanium bolts and bone on bone late stage 4 degeneration with loose bodies inside their joint space.

I am aware of this, therefore why not just squat for reps 10-20? It can be brutally hard, will elicit more growth and save your knees.

After 40 yo - and with injuries , not sure why people still do barbell squats considering all the alternatives that are better and safer.

I did 9 sets prior he’ll I did 2 sets of 20 at 135 then I started going up in weight and bringing down the reps I did a lot of reps as I went up. Then I did one single with good form at the end which was well within my limits. I didn’t just do one rep at 315 with bad form ego lifting. I am not lifting more than I can safely handle with proper technique that is a deep squat at 315lbs well within my range. I didn’t even use a belt that is why I showed my abs to show no belt and not 42 inches.  I could have done another another rep or gone heavier but I didn’t. But again was just reminding myself how 315 felt and comparing form to see as I go up. The following pics show depth at 225, 275, and 315. I am meticulously examine my form after every set. I did not go past a point in weight where my form would break down. I concentrated on hand placement this time and went with a much narrower open hand grip

Let me tell you what I know the more I lift leg extension squat and hamstring curls and bike the less pain and fluid I get in the knees and the better I walk and move and feel. yes the knees hurt and are stiff and it’s hard to get motivated to start every workout but they always feel better after and the more I work out the better they get. When I took some time off they got real bad. You want to deal with some arthritis pain and train or do you want more stiffness and muscular atrophy and even more arthritis eventually as you weaken the connective tissue from not training? It is better to train
