Just got off the horn with this "Coop" fella.
He openly admitted that these "strict curls" are not about bicep strength, but about manipulating your elbows and shoulders to "hoist" the weight up without using your biceps.
Which makes a lot of sense.
Also, Coop admitted that he "strict curls" more than he can curl free standing because with the wall he can brace himself and "roll" his shoulders better.
Interesting.
Also, hanky has a new contestant at SCN.
Yours truly just signed up for the same weight/age class.
And i curled 165 without a special bar or anything. Just the standard ez-curl bar at the gym.
Easy peasy.
