My “gut” this morning. You guys are never going to add an ounce of muscle or repair any tissue if you are afraid to eat. Have I been leaner yeah sure however I am trying to make a 45 year old body heal and get stronger you can’t do that on starvation rations at 5% bodyfat. Obviously I am a little thicker at 225-230 than I am at 215-220 but you need to be willing to add some thickness to grow. Just adding thickness allows the body to train heavier which makes the muscles grow. It is easy to lean out if you do fuck all nothing you will lean out you have to actively eat to even maintain. Getting bigger is the tricky part. The stomach should only be flat in the morning if you want to grow you need to be eating. This is my massive fat gut this morning could I drop 10lbs and my waist look better sure but why I am trying to get bigger. I can always skip a meal and reduce my waist later but I am training consistently right now without any major injuries there is no need to be leaner than this in Feb. I will naturally lean out as the summer progresses.
