I went from twice a week by themself to once a week by themselve and once after back it’s called a deload I will crank it up again 2 months out I am 4 months out right now so brought volume back up and increased training of other muscle groups like legs and back will focus on biceps more as I get closer to July. Still curling just higher volume right now will bring down reps and weight up as I get closer. Too long too heavy starts causing nagging pain trying to deload now

For example did 120 for 2 sets of 8 last night after training back was at the gym and 120 is as heavy as they have the presets. I will train heavier curls by themselves using my bar Sunday at home

That’s how you train strict curls about 12 weeks out you go twice a week lowering the reps each week until showtime then you deload and bring the reps back up and work other ancillary muscle groups before going back into a 12 week prep. Honestly it is how I train everything you hit one muscle group hard while taking it easy elsewhere for a few weeks then rotate.
