Posing is a skill you can develop but some people are way more attuned to it than others
I watched all the good posers and practiced year round back in the 80s and 90s
Any contest they had a best presentation I won it.
Even got best presentation at the NW in 2023 for the whole show, not just my class.
My last few shows I lost interest and didnt really make an effort, I think I finally had enough of bodybuilding by then
I have done routines for people in the past and helped them with transitions because that where the skill lies.
Some took it on board and improved some just walked onstage and forgot everything
I hear you.
You probably had a good 'artistic' sense of what looks good when posing from the very start, you had an eye for it, and wanted to make it even better. Many don't. I've seen pros hire posing coaches and it doesn't seem to help much, lots of forgetting as the poses are hit the same anyway. Often if you look at bbers fom their first pics you see certain little subtle things like how the hand is turned or placed and from then on it seems set in stone.
