That show has & always will be argued that Ronnie shouldn't have had straight firsts. In the pics that you show, Ronnie only dominates from the rear.
no he doesn't - he dominated from a whole lot more than the rear.
As good as shape as the sultan of synthol and kevin where, Ronnie was amazing that night.
And as far as the lighting goes, saying that anyone would look good under those lights is bullshit.
ONLY bodybuilders with DEEP CUTS like Flex and Ronnie would look really good. Notice that Kevin does not look as good as Flex and Ronnie because he is
a) not as detailed
and
b) the cuts are not as deeply etched.
For example, under that lighting, Dorian's arms and quads would STILL looks sub-par, because they lack the deep detail.
Deep cuts allows the light to throw more of a shadow, allowing for a greater contrast which highlights the cuts even more.
eg:
notice how much more impressive Ronnie's arm looks than Levrone's: the reason is that the detail stands out a lot more under that amazing lighting.
If you are not as detailed, the lighting won't help.
