He’s known as the original dirty grandpa of Golds. But he also is a good hearted guy. I’ve heard stories when a gym member’s car broke down, and Mike gave him a ride home. He’s been known to buy people Gold’s Gym t-shirts and sweatshirts. He gives jugs of his protein powder away to fans all the time. He’s been known to stop his workout and help people go over their squat form. He helped a member call a tow truck one time when their car wouldn’t start. He’s been known to drop off trays of food to police stations. He’s also been known to invite members on jogs on Venice Beach and even sit with them and eat lunch in Venice Beach. He’s been known to pay for people’s lunches at the firehouse as well.
